It was located on a hill overlooking the market place with a most breathtaking view of the whole city as well as the surrounding landscape. The countess, an orphan herself, made sure that no child was left wanting. what do you fear?The orphanage of Novell was pleasant enough at first. She had a room in the west wing, away from the noise, the noise that comes with living humans. Her father, Gods rest his soul, always used to say ‘Humans are so loud that it would be impossible to miss them in the dark.’ And the people seem nice enough; everyone bows and is polite. But Egret couldn’t help but notice a mild sense of neglect, as if she were a stray dog or an uninvited guest. She had thought for a time that it was due to a fact that she was nobility, but when Egret looked into their eyes, really looked, she saw a vast coldness within them.what do you fear?
